Noam Perski – Hacking a soccer game

June 1, 2011

Noam Perski: football trainer, who uses an iPad and Youtube videos of Messi to coach his kids. “Leo Messi should be teaching kids how to play, not me” says Noam, as he talks about making coaching without expertise or external resources. Perski says that the ‘hacker’ approach , which is transferable into the work environmet, is to use the tools at hand. One of the less ‘hacker-like’ topics he discusses is how to get kids who don’t like rules, to play soccer/football and still be effective. “Progress is key to motivation”, and through constant success, and progression, kids feel more pushed to continue improving.

The 30 minute break has begun, and next up, is Ed Baafi discussing “ModKIDS”.
